Job Description:
The role of a Facilities Director involves overseeing the maintenance, upkeep and functioning of auxiliary equipment, structures and premises. This encompasses ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and standards as well as achieving sustainability objectives by minimizing waste, emissions and energy usage.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee all capital expenditure initiatives related to facility upgrades, installations, renovations and new equipment.
* Coordinate and direct preventive maintenance and repairs for facilities and essential equipment such as chillers and compressors.
* Supervise and train engineering personnel in facilities management.
* Manage contracts and budgets for facility maintenance, engineering and environmental services.
* Collaborate with production, quality and safety teams to enhance plant performance and efficiency.
* Track and report key environmental metrics such as water consumption, carbon footprint and waste recycling rates.
* Maintain and enhance an environmental management system compliant with ISO 14001 standards.
* Develop and enforce policies and procedures for waste management, recycling and energy conservation.
* Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify and address any concerns or risks.
