NEC4 ECC Project Manager
The NEC4 ECC Project Manager is accountable for the effective administration of the Design and Build Contracts under which the Schemes are delivered on behalf of the NTA.
The role requires proactive contract management and strict adherence to the contractual response times set out within the NEC4 ECC framework.
Key responsibilities include managing payments, reviewing and accepting programmes, assessing compensation events, and overseeing risk management through the early warning process.
The Project Manager is also responsible for issuing all contractual instructions, notices and formal communications, ensuring compliance with the terms of the contract at all times.
Collaboration is central to the role.
The post holder must work in close coordination with the NEC4 ECC Project Supervisor, Commercial Manager, Scheme Delivery and Integration Lead, and other relevant NTA stakeholders, fostering a culture of mutual trust, transparency and cooperation.
At Site Level, the NEC4 ECC Project Manager supports the Design and Technical Services Lead in establishing and guiding the CBCIW Client Organisation for their assigned Scheme.
This includes providing clear strategic direction and overseeing the performance of an integrated, high-performing team.
The role also involves leading Site Level sub-functional teams, developing detailed financial and resource plans, and supervising the daily activities of CP staff to ensure efficient and successful delivery of the Scheme.
In addition, the Project Manager acts as the primary interface between the Site Level and the CBCIW Core Level, as well as other key NTA stakeholders.
Responsibilities include coordinating reporting to the PMO in line with governance requirements, encouraging knowledge sharing between CP and NTA teams, ensuring accountability for CP personnel performance, and promoting continuous improvement and best practice throughout project execution.
