Description Responsible for the growth of a successful accountancy practice, the role of Director is to increase revenue and profit. This means helping client businesses to be successful, providing strategic direction for the organisation and creating a culture where people are strongly connected to the vision, mission and values. The role requires a highly respected leader who is business, client and people focused.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a commercial strategy that increases shareholder value
* Recruit, develop and manage a high performing senior team who deliver a great service to clients and deliver strong recovery rates for the business
* Set the organisations, vision, values and standards to create a strong proposition for people and clients to buy in to
* Contribute knowledge and expertise to promote the success of the organisation and to reduce risk
* Set billing targets, measure performance and take action when off track to ensure delivery of strong financial performance
* Implement effective financial practices and processes to promote strong financial management of the business
* Provide ongoing leadership and direction across the organisation to help people deliver results
* Ensure the organisation complies with all legal and ethical standards and statutory regulations
* Create a high performing culture where people are strongly connected to the vision, mission and values and take action to remedy if not
* Complete a final review of larger/complex files to ensure the best possible value, advice and quality for clients
* Develop and maintain the highest standards of technical knowledge and expertise for self and others
* Provide industry leading insights, knowledge and advice which create value for clients
* Manage and grow own portfolio of larger/higher yield clients
* Create and maintain strong and long lasting relationships with clients and other stakeholders
* Promote the products, services and image of the firm in order to generate new business opportunities and enhance the reputation of the firm
* Provide industry leading insights, solutions and advice to build the firm’s reputation, referral network and client base
* Build network and profile to promote cross-selling, referral and introduction opportunities
* Develop and implement a marketing strategy that raises awareness of the firm’s brand and its products and services
Key Requirements
* CR – JIEB, Appointment taking licence authorised by one of the UK regulators
* A & A – ACCA/ACA
* Tax - CTA desirable but not mandatory
