Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Dublin or Cork (Hybrid) Salary: €65,000 to €75,000 DOE A growing engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in Dublin. The firm specialises in delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Process engineering solutions across key sectors including food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, data centers, and energy optimisation. Responsibilities: Act as project manager on medium-sized engineering projects Lead mechanical design on large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers Design utility and HVAC systems for industrial applications Develop technical specifications, schedules, registers, and equipment lists Carry out report writing, site surveys, and project documentation Attend client and contractor meetings and M&E coordination workshops Coordinate mechanical services with other disciplines, particularly electrical Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering Minimum 8 years experience delivering mechanical design solutions Proven experience in designing industrial mechanical systems (e.g. HVAC, steam, LPHW, chilled water, compressed air, potable water) Strong ability to manage projects from concept through to commissioning and handover Familiarity with BIM/Revit and ability to navigate and coordinate using models Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) Clear understanding of Irish and EN mechanical standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage workload independently Benefits: Flexible working hours and hybrid options Competitive salary package Private healthcare Employer pension contribution Ongoing CPD (internal and external training opportunities) Opportunity to lead and shape a growing mechanical division Interested?
