We are seeking an experienced
Mine Manager
to lead safe, efficient, and high-performance mining operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving best-in-class standards across safety, production, quality, maintenance, and environmental performance.
As Mine Manager, you will guide a team of approximately 25 staff, shaping long-term mine planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing extraction methods, and championing continuous improvement through WCM principles. You will play a critical role in operational excellence, community engagement, cost control, and people development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead all aspects of mine safety, operations, engineering, and quality.
* Ensure compliance with statutory mining and quarrying regulations.
* Oversee blasting operations and the safe use of explosives.
* Drive continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing (WCM) standards.
* Develop long-term mine plans, including extraction sequencing and exploration.
* Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies, local communities, and internal stakeholders.
* Manage mine budgets, cost performance, and capital projects.
* Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
About You:
* Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field (postgraduate qualification desirable).
* Minimum 10 years' mining experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
* Strong background in both underground and open-pit operations.
* Proven track record in mine management, cost control, and project delivery.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Data-driven, commercially aware, and committed to continuous improvement.
