The Opportunity Some bookkeeping roles are about keeping up. This one is about being the steady hand the finance team leans on. Were hiring an experienced Bookkeeper for a 6-month contract with a growing Irish business in Limerick City (on-site). Youll work directly with a Head of Finance who wants a capable partner, not someone to micromanage. If you take pride in doing things properly, spotting issues early, and keeping the finance rhythm calm and accuratethis will suit you. A key benefit is flexibility: 3 or 4 days per week (still office-based), with proper ownership of your remit. On-site parking is included. An immediate/near-immediate start is available. Reporting to the Head of Finance, youll take responsibility for core bookkeeping activities and contribute to smooth month-end processes. Key duties include: Posting and maintaining monthly journals Completing bank reconciliations and investigating variances Preparing and filing VAT and PAYE returns (Revenue compliance) Bringing accounts through to trial balance level Managing client account movements, including receipts and payments Youll also support the wider team with: Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable processing Basic credit control activity and account query resolution Assisting with internal reporting and helping improve day-to-day finance routines About You Youll suit this role if youre the type of Bookkeeper who is naturally organised, methodical, and takes ownership without drama.
