About this role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our EHS team in a project based in Dublin. As the successful candidate, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to safely deliver the completion of this project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting regular formal site audits and carrying out inspections
* Coaching and mentoring staff in creating a positive safety culture
* Participating in external EHS Audits with relevant closeout
* Communicating findings of the audits to site management and assisting in the closure of issues
* Assessing the EHS function to identify areas for improvement and developing new initiatives
* Investigating and analysing incidents and identifying root causes
* Providing training and information to the workforce using appropriate training aids and media
Requirements:
* 5 – 10 years' experience in a similar role is essential
* Thorough knowledge of relevant environmental Health & Safety legislation
* Experience working in the Construction Sector is required
* A Mechanical background would be advantageous
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office is necessary
* Excellent organisational and planning skills are required
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
