We are currently hiring for a full-time Laundry Porter to join our team.
The Laundry Porter plays a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the laundry department.
This position is responsible for transporting, sorting, and delivering linens, uniforms, towels, and other laundry items across the property, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities Collect soiled linens, towels, F B linen, and uniforms from designated areas.
Transport laundry to and from the laundry facility using the laundry vehicle.
Sort laundry by type (linens, uniforms, towels, F B items).
Transport laundry to an off-site facility for processing and collect completed items.
Deliver clean linens and uniforms to the appropriate departments.
Assist laundry staff with folding, stacking, and organising clean items.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of laundry rooms and storage areas.
Report damaged, stained, or missing items to the supervisor.
Follow all health, safety, and infection control procedures.
Operate laundry carts, equipment, and vehicles safely and responsibly.
Requirements Basic reading and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Physically fit and capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to cleanliness and detail.
Full, clean driver's licence required.
Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, or hospitality is an advantage but not essential.
Full training will be provided on the job.
Shift work: May include weekends and bank holidays.
