The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to leverage relationships across the enterprise, achieving the best total value. This role requires effective management of the seven steps of the sourcing process, including spend analysis, market research, supplier due diligence, sourcing strategy, RFX management, bid analysis, and contract management.

Key responsibilities include creating sourcing strategies that deliver the necessary materials and services at the right price, time, and quality, while mitigating risk. The ideal candidate will work in an agile manner, switching between categories with a large supply base to meet business demands.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, using industry cost models, RFX development and execution, proposal evaluation, total cost of ownership, and supplier selection recommendation. Perform analysis of financial and business data related to supplier proposals and capability assessments to support the development of Verizon's supply base.

Develop, manage, and lead cross-functional teams, running strategic sourcing processes, contract negotiation, contract administration, and supervising supplier performance. Lead negotiations on contract terms with suppliers at senior management level and execute contracts in liaison with the legal and contract management team.

* Masters degree or certifications in CPSM/CPM/CIPS/CSCP

* Ability to draft Statement of Works/Master agreements/Amendments independently

* Lean Six Sigma experience

* Experience in Ariba, SAP, Google Suite & Microsoft Suite applications

* Ability to lead meetings/conference calls and give presentations to large audiences

* Knowledge of data analysis, forecasting tools, and ability to develop measurable insights from data
