Location: Lucena Clinic, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services Initial Base: Clonskeagh Hospital CampusLucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow.
Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.
Candidate Clinical Nurse Specialist CAMHS ID(Full -Time, Permanent: following successful completion of pathway within a two-year period) Saint John of God Community Services, Community Mental Health Services Lucena Clinic are now inviting applications for the post of Candidate Clinical Nurse Specialist CAMHS ID.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users.
The Service actively promotes multidisciplinary teamwork, continuing professional development and innovation in Community Psychiatric Nursing.
This includes Nurse prescribing and Advanced Nurse Practitioners roles for those people wishing to advance their education, responsibilities and skills.In collaboration with HSE Community Healthcare East Child and Adolescent Mental Health Intellectual Disability (CAMHS-ID) service, Saint John of God Community Mental Health Services are now inviting applications for the post of Candidate CNS CAMHS ID.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing a quality mental health service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users.These posts will support National Mental Health Clinical programme delivery.
They will involve the staff members undertaking assessments, initiating a range of evidenced based recovery orientated clinical interventions and linking closely with a range of statutory services in secondary and primary care services and with voluntary services in the local community.
They will be expected to work as a member of a community mental health team, undertaking standardised assessments and management along with assertive follow up involving families/carers as appropriate.Role SummaryWe are seeking to expand the CAMHS-ID community team by employing a dynamic and enthusiastic Candidate Clinical Nurse Specialist (CAMHS ID) to work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health service for children and adolescents with a moderate to profound intellectual disability & a moderate to severe mental health disorder.
The Candidate Clinical Nurse Specialist (CAMHS ID) has a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, recovery orientated, high quality, team based, integrated care for individuals with both intellectual disabilities and mental disorder.
The purpose of the role is also to provide assessment and support to the individual through the delivery of appropriate treatment and recovery orientated interventions, to support care in the community, working towards reduction in the need for acute hospitalisation.Minimum RequirementsBe a registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
AND Be registered in the division(s) of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland register for which the application is being made (Psychiatric) or be entitled to be so registered.
OR In exceptional circumstances, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, be registered in another Division of the register of Nurses and Midwives.AND Have a minimum of 1 years' post registration full-time experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being made.
AND Have a minimum of 1 years' experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in the specialist area of CAMHS or on a case-by-case basis Intellectual Disability.OR If the applicant does not possess the relevant specialist experience, they will be supported to attain one year's clinical specialist experience.AND Have successfully completed a post registration program of study, as certified by the education provider which verifies that the applicant has achieved a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 9 or higher award (equivalent to 60 ECTS or above) that is relevant to the specialist area of care (CAMHS or Intellectual Disability).
OR If the applicant does not possess the relevant QQI NFQ Level 9 qualification, the applicant will be supported to undertake the required postgraduate education, at QQI NFQ level 9 qualification (equivalent to 60 ECTS or above) relevant to the specialist area.
AND Be required to demonstrate that they have continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the specialist area or will be supported to obtain the required CPD.
AND Has the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice.
RemunerationSalary Grade 2699 CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST CANDIDATE (MENTAL HEALTH) on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale€56,081 - €66,045 per annum pro rataInitial locationThe initial location of this role is CAMHS ID, Clonskeagh Hospital Campus.
However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS's other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
