Head of Marketing & Member Engagement
Head of Marketing & Member Engagement to lead and deliver an ambitious growth strategy that will grow, diversify, and retain our customer base. A member of the Leadership Team, and reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will oversee a talented team spanning marketing, corporate engagement and membership.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering strategies that strengthen our brand and visibility, grow student and member income, and deepen engagement with existing and prospective members. You will also oversee a rich programme of brand events, and a growing portfolio of learning and outreach activity.
This role is both strategic and hands‑on, requiring a blend of strong leadership, innovative thinking, and operational oversight. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across ATI, corporate partners and ambassadors to champion the member experience and help drive the organisation forward.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a confident and experienced senior leader with a track record of driving audience growth, engagement, and income. You will bring substantial experience in marketing, B2B, communications, and public engagement, ideally in a membership or charity organisation. You will be a skilled team leader with a collaborative style, strong financial acumen, and the ability to use data insight to shape strategy.
Crucially, you will be inspired by ATI’s mission and excited to play a ley role in leading commercial opportunities and projects, helping us broaden our reach and impact. You will be a natural ambassador with a flair for building partnerships, leading through influence, and communicating compellingly with a wide range of audiences.

Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing, Brand & Communications
Lead ATI’s brand and marketing strategy, strengthening market position, broadening reach, and increasing awareness across industry, practice, and public sectors.
Oversee digital marketing, campaigns, website evolution, PR, content strategy, and brand governance.
Ensure alignment across education, corporate partnerships, and ambassador programmes.
Lead the development and implementation of ATI’s membership strategy, targeting growth, diversification, and enhanced member value.
Oversee the entire member lifecycle from awareness to retention while ensuring seamless processes and a consistently high‑quality experience.
Use insight, segmentation and predictive analytics to shape the membership proposition securing renewal, and retention.
Benchmark ATI against comparable organisations to ensure a modern, relevant membership proposition.
3. Member Engagement, CPD & Events
Oversee the delivery of a dynamic programme of CPD, professional development and public outreach aligned with strategic organisational priorities and industry skills needs.
Deliver a varied calendar of member and flagship events, ensuring exceptional quality, high participation, and strong visibility.
Build a strong culture of member‑centric thinking across ATI, ensuring every team understands and supports the member value proposition.
4. Data, Insights & CRM Leadership
Own ATI’s CRM and data strategy, ensuring robust data standards, reporting, GDPR compliance, and actionable insights.
Develop dashboards to monitor engagement, retention, outcomes, and revenue.
Own the student sales drive, monitoring, motivating and reporting to the wider organisation throughout the campaign.
Support the digital transformation to ensure optimisation of the new Salesforce system, automate routine processes, and personalise experiences across all users.
5. Cross‑Organisational Leadership & Governance
Play an active role on the Leadership Team, contributing to organisation wide strategic planning and decision‑making.
Support governance activities, including committee engagement, report preparation, and participation in Board‑related processes.
Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, colleges, employers, academic partners, and seek out new relationships.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing, multidisciplinary team across membership, marketing, and CPD.
Promote a collaborative, innovative, ATI Value driven culture focused on outcomes and continuous improvement.
Person Specification
Significant leadership experience within a membership, education, or professional body; charity‑sector experience advantageous.
Demonstrated success driving growth, customer engagement, and income targets.
Strong expertise in CRM systems, data analytics, digital tools, and insight‑driven decision‑making.
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capability.
Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets.
Experience in strategy development, change management, and organisational transformation.
Evidence of creative, innovative thinking in member engagement or digital transformation.
Experience representing an organisation externally, including speaking engagements, networking and partnership building.
High emotional intelligence, self‑awareness, and commitment to professional development.
Understanding of the Irish higher and further education landscape (QQI, SOLAS, HEA) and regulatory quality frameworks.
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience.
