Safety glasses, safety shoes, and gloves where appropriate.Consult SOPs for any job task and ensure full understanding and adherence.Develop and manage program governance, continuous improvement, and communication with stakeholders and engineering teams for the capital portfolio, maintenance excellence, and operations technology.Oversee utilities and facilities engineering teams to ensure compliance with standards for regulatory, EHS, quality, and global engineering while providing services to maintain operations and support production.Develop lifecycle plans for asset management over facilities and utilities.Manage the site's capital portfolio using systematic processes for scoping, planning, executing, and monitoring multiple projects.Contribute to area budget development and monitoring through regular analysis of capital, expense, and departmental financial plans and spending.Coordinate with division engineering on capital planning, monitoring, and the development of engineering best practices.Maintain SOPs, maintenance, and training practices.Implement cost improvement programs as required.Lead and oversee annual shutdowns in line with division KPIs and best practices.Develop and implement lean/OPEX principles across engineering.Enhance staff capabilities in technical, quality, safety, project, and business management.Create risk-based maintenance plans to reduce unplanned downtime, utilizing FMEAs, asset criticality surveys, and operator engagement.Update procedures related to GMP, EHS, technical equipment, and quality as needed.Major ResponsibilitiesManage engineering spend of approximately $17MM annually.Oversee a capital portfolio of $10-50MM per year.Ensure operations and compliance of facilities and utilities, including electricity, nitrogen, water, wastewater, steam, and HVAC systems.Manage maintenance and store room excellence programs for the entire site.Supervise 8 multidisciplinary engineers and approximately 25 employees.Education RequiredBachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering, Finance, or Business) or 15+ years of experience as a business leader in manufacturing, engineering, or quality roles.Accountability / ScopeThis position reports directly to the site director and participates actively in the site leadership team.
