Role Overview In this role, you will support the Design Coordinator and Department Head in developing and delivering engineering solutions that enhance the energy performance of industrial facilities.
You will work closely with our technical team, clients, and project managers to coordinate the design and implementation of energy efficiency projects, ensuring that solutions are tailored, technically robust, and aligned with client needs.
Additionally, you will be responsible for running company-wide weekly training sessions, including generating training materials, and researching innovations in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities: Training Organize and run company-wide weekly training sessions, including the development of training materials.Deliver some of the sessions along with coordinating and reviewing of internal personnel.Research and arrange external training personnel to delivery 50% of annual sessions.Research and report on the selected innovations & moonshots in the energy sector to inform project designs and strategies.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and energy efficiency regulations.Process Development Develop and support the development of a number part of Project Clearwater Process Improvement actions.Assist Design Coordinator in developing detailed engineering designs, layouts, and schematics for industrial energy efficiency projects.Prepare and maintain design reports, technical specifications, and operational guidelines.Ensure designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to refine and validate design concepts.Project Support & Implementation Work with project managers to coordinate design activities throughout the project lifecycle.Assist in conducting site assessments, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations.Support procurement by specifying and selecting energy-efficient equipment and technologies.Ensure design deliverables are aligned with project timelines and client expectations.Required Qualifications & Experience Technical & Industry Expertise Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or Process Engineering (or related field).3+ years of experience in industrial energy efficiency, utilities, or process technology design.Strong understanding of steam, compressed air, refrigeration, heat recovery, and HVAC systems.Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and engineering design tools.Project & Coordination Skills Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects.Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.Strong critical thinking skills with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors.General Requirements Knowledge of energy efficiency regulations, industry best practices, and sustainability standards.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Full working rights in Ireland and willingness to travel for site visits when required.Ifyouareexcitedtoadvanceyourcareerandjoinateamthatisshapingthefutureofindustrialenergysolutions,wewouldlovetohearfromyou The closing date of applications is Friday July 25th 2025.
