My Client is a leading big blue organisation with iconic global brands. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a National Account Manager to join the Irish Business. This is a newly created role, and you will be joining at an exciting time. My client operates within the health and wellness space. I had a very good meeting with Jonathan, the Country Manager, who is a significant asset to the opportunity! He has extensive experience working on big blue chip brands, is sharp, astute, personable, fair, and grants his team a lot of autonomy. I have placed two Account Managers in the business, and they speak very highly of him.

In our meeting, Jonathan shared: “As you know Denis, we have doubled the size of our Commercial Team in the last 18 months and experienced approximately 15% growth in the last year. Europe is one of the fastest-growing continents, and within that, Ireland is among the fastest-growing countries, exemplifying our growth and success. For this role, I am looking for someone who is commercially astute, can plan effectively, and interpret data. The role operates within the Convenience and pharmacy channels, where we have established relationships with our customers and distributor, but there is still significant white space. I want someone curious, independent in thinking, not afraid to ask questions, and able to work collaboratively.”

The salary for this position is circa €60,000-€65,000, with an attractive package. It is a one-year contract with a high likelihood of leading to a full-time permanent role. The client has state-of-the-art offices in Citywest, operating on a hybrid model with 2-3 days in the office and the rest at home.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, margin, and profit targets by developing and implementing commercial plans.
* Forecast volume, sales, and investments accurately through effective planning, identifying risks and opportunities monthly.
* Lead customer plans into the SAP system, including volume and pricing conditions approved by the Group Commercial Team.
* Understand the Irish market, including competitor landscape and customer strategies.
* Develop and secure buy-in for a 12-24 month plan for Ireland.
* Identify issues and opportunities swiftly, gaining buy-in from buyers.
* Manage relationships within the Convenience and pharmacy channels, involving Category Management and Shopper Marketing as needed.
* Coordinate with the UK team, aligning plans with cross-functional teams based there.
* Share market intelligence from Nielsen/Kantar to maintain ongoing conversations with customers.
* Analyze Ireland’s performance and develop course correction plans, working with the Category Manager on promotional plans.
* Collaborate with the Shopper Development Manager on in-store activation opportunities.
* Ensure smooth invoice processing and resolve any issues with Group Finance.
