BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND - WEST REGION POST OF PERMANENT PART-TIME SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST CHILDREN'S DISABILITY NETWORK 6 TEAM JOB REF: 90849 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Senior Physiotherapist appointments within CDNT-6, may be made over the next 6 months.
The Role: The Permanent Part-Time Senior Physiotherapist will be responsible for the delivery of Physiotherapy support to Children accessing Children's Disability Network Team 6 (CDNT6).
CDNT6 provide services to children from 0-18 with complex development needs which include physical, sensory, intellectual disabilities and autism.
The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland (BOCSI) are the lead agency for this team.
CDNT's are interdisciplinary teams who work within a Family Centred Practice model and work collaboratively with children, families and other stakeholders to meet goals identified by the family.
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a physiotherapy service to include assessment, diagnostics and delivering intervention to children and young persons in clinic, school, home and community settings.
CDNT6 covers a geographical area of: Galway City East, Claregalway, Gort, Headford and Oranmore.
Working hours: Permanent Part-Time - 49 hours per fortnight.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must be registered with CORU.
They must be eligible for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists or hold an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health & Children.
A full clean driving licence and use of a car is an essential requirement of the post.
Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant post qualification experience which includes supporting children with complex disabilities.
It is desirable that candidates have experience or skills in the following: Relevant Post grad education e.g.
Diploma/ masters/doctorate Training and experience in neurodisability e.g.
NDT /Certified Bobath training Training and experience in Postural Management e.g.
Post Graduate certificate Postural Management for Complex Disability Training & Experience in Clinical Gait Analysis Training& experience in the Motor & Tone management e.g.
CPIP training/Splinting & casting Active member of relevant Special Interest groups within discipline both nationally and internationally Evidence of experience in coaching & mentoring Working Hours: Hours will be within the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
Contracted hours are liable to change between the hours of 8am- 8pm as future service needs require.
The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual.
Annual Leave: 29 days pro-rata per annum.
Remuneration: Department of Health Physiotherapist, Senior Salary scale (01/08/2025) is €63,912 x 8 increments - €75,254 pro-rata per annum.
Tenure: This position is permanent, part-time and pensionable.
