We provide our Coffee Dock Supervisor with up to 22 working hours Monday to Friday Mornings. Annual leave up to 20 days, plus discretionary days. The Role We are looking for a Cafe Supervisor, who will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the cafe, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a positive work environment for the staff. The role will involve overseeing the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Coupled with this will be responsibility for cash management and maintenance of financial records. The role also involves training and mentoring staff, resolving customer complaints, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and profitability. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of the cafe, ensuring smooth workflow. Train, mentor, and manage cafe staff to maintain high performance. Monitor inventory levels and purchase supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally. Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages. Implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability. Maintain a clean and organized cafe environment. Manage cash flow/daily float, cash register. Prepare bank lodgements as required. Daily update of accounts book, recording income / expenditure with receipts. Person Specification The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality sector and have strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a busy environment. The preferred candidate will also have a full driving license and access to a car for stock purchasing. This is a part time role up to 22 hours per week Monday to Friday. Qualifications and Experience Essential: Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service. Ability to work in a busy environment and handle pressure. Basic understanding of inventory management and ordering/purchasing processes. Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of cash management and bookkeeping.
