Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to manage, optimise, and evolve a complex, multi-technology SAP landscape. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge SAP platforms and play a key role in ensuring system performance, reliability, and scalability.
The Role
As the SAP Basis Specialist, you will:
Administer and support over 100+ SAP systems serving 5,000+ users enterprise-wide.
Deliver robust Basis support to internal IT and project teams, ensuring system stability and availability.
Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and provide out-of-hours support when required.
Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, patching, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align SAP services with strategic enterprise goals.
Provide hands‑on support for new SAP implementations and continuous improvements.
Drive automation and process optimisation across the SAP technical landscape.
Mentor team members, maintain documentation, and support knowledge transfer.
Ensure compliance with corporate IT governance, security, and operational standards.
Your Skills & Experience
Proven experience in SAP Basis administration within a complex enterprise environment.
Strong technical knowledge across SAP platforms: S/4HANA, IS-U, CRM, BW/BW/4HANA, PI/PO, BO/DS, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, and SRM.
Expertise in database and OS platforms including Linux/HANA and DB2, with strong performance tuning and optimisation skills.
Experience in SAP installations, upgrades, and support pack implementations.
Skilled in monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive issue resolution.
Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager (EWA Reporting, ChaRM, Technical Monitoring, Root Cause Analysis).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative mindset.
Desirable (Nice to Have)
Experience with S/4HANA migrations and Single Sign-On (SAML/OAuth) configurations.
Experience managing SSL certificates and SAP integrations in Azure or hybrid cloud environments.
