Job Description:
Your New Company Your new organisation is a Semi State Utilities Body responsible for key infrastructure across Ireland. They operate nationwide with 31 local authorities and various construction stakeholders. They have offices across the country.
Your New Role Several roles are available in Greater Dublin areas including Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, and South Dublin. The role is mainly on-site with some hybrid working for paperwork and documentation.
* You will carry out site visits for non-standard new connection applications, perform site assessments, and create work orders within a region. You will coordinate with third parties working in the field to ensure connection services are delivered.
* You will oversee connection requests to water and wastewater networks, collaborating with Local Authorities and relevant parties to deliver these services.
* You will support network reinforcement schemes driven by connection demand, working with Capital Delivery, Local Authorities, or third-party providers.
Selection of duties:
* Provide excellent customer experience through the connection process.
* Monitor incoming site inspection requests related to non-standard new connections.
* Conduct site assessments following Health and Safety policies, and document requirements into work orders.
* Perform technical and field assessments of new connection applications.
* Document inspection results and approve/close work orders.
* Support network development when new connections require expansion, working with Local Authorities and partners.
* Perform on-site QA for Water & Wastewater Infrastructure.
* Liaise with internal teams such as Asset Planning, Asset Delivery, Operations.
* Evaluate and provide feedback on infrastructure design on and off development sites.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Relevant third-level qualification in civil engineering.
* On-site experience with civil engineering contractors or residential developers.
* Experience with utility/local authority connection management and water/wastewater is advantageous.
* Knowledge of planning applications and connection regulations.
* Client-facing/interactions experience.
* Must be able to work in specified locations and have access to a vehicle.
* Ability to work full-time in Ireland; sponsorship not available.
