This role ensures that the right materials are available in the correct quantities to support production and project schedules. The Materials Coordinator also manages the processing, fulfilment, and shipping of customer spare parts orders while maintaining accurate inventory records.Role's activitiesCoordinate the receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and componentsSupport production by accurately kitting materials and components for instrument builds in accordance with build schedules and bills of materials (BOMs)Process and ship customer spare part ordersCommunicate daily with both internal and external stakeholdersMaintain accurate inventory records using SAGE ERPWork closely with purchasing, production and mechanical design teamsIdentify material shortages and resolve supply issues promptlyPrepare inventory reports and documentationEnsure materials are stored and handled according to safety and quality standardsSupport cost control efforts by minimizing waste and excess inventoryGeneralComplies with all company policies, procedures and safety requirements (e.g. SOP's, Employee Handbook, etc.) as well as contractual agreementsAvailability to work flexible hours as neededPossess problem analysis and problem resolution ability at both a strategic and a functional levelPerforms other duties as assignedExperienceProven warehouse experienceRecognized third-level qualification, or demonstrable relevant industry experienceKnowledge of inventory control systems and stock management proceduresStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesExperience using ERP systems for inventory control, sales, and reportingFamiliarity with generating reports
