Senior Data and Analytics specialist

Role Purpose
We are a digital agency focused on delivering measurable commercial impact for our clients. Data and measurement are central to this mission. The
Senior Data and Analytics specialist will take ownership of how we use data to connect marketing activity with
real business outcomes, driving client growth through smarter measurement, integration, and optimisation.
This role will shape the agency's data strategy, oversee analytics operations, and manage the output of the data & analytics team. The Senior Specialist will ensure that data is accurate, actionable, and embedded in client strategies — enabling optimisation not just for clicks or leads, but for revenue, customer growth, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
* Define and implement the agency's data & analytics strategy, aligned to commercial impact for clients.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the data & analytics team
* Partner with Client Strategist's and Specialists to ensure data is a core driver of client strategies.
Data Integration & Tracking
* Oversee integration between CRM, ecommerce, and ad platforms to enable
closed-loop reporting
* Ensure
offline conversion tracking (OCT)
and enhanced ecommerce tracking are implemented to optimise campaigns for true business outcomes.
* Lead audits and improvements of GA4, GTM (including server-side), and data layer implementations across clients.
Measurement & Optimisation
* Develop and manage advanced attribution frameworks (data-driven attribution, multi-touch, incrementality testing).
* Establish KPI frameworks that optimise campaigns for profit, LTV, CAC, and new customer growth
* Partner with performance and strategy teams to build predictive models (e.g. lead scoring, churn risk, high-value customer lookalikes).
Reporting & Insight
* Oversee the development of executive and operational dashboards in Looker Studio
* Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clients and agency leadership.
* Introduce automated reporting and anomaly detection to improve responsiveness.
Innovation & Governance
* Keep the agency at the cutting edge of data privacy, attribution, and measurement (e.g. consent mode v2, cookie deprecation, server-side tagging).
* Define and enforce standards for data quality, tracking, and governance.
* Assess and implement new tools or platforms that enhance analytics capability.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a data/analytics leadership role within a digital agency, consultancy, or performance-driven environment.
* Advanced knowledge of GA4, GTM (server- and client-side), Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and Looker Studio.
* Hands-on experience integrating CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics, etc.) and ecommerce platforms with ad platforms.
* Strong understanding of offline conversion tracking, attribution modelling, and incrementality testing.
* Experience with SQL, BigQuery, or other data warehousing solutions a strong plus.
* Track record of driving measurable improvements in campaign efficiency and client ROI through data.
* Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
