HR Manager Agri, Manufacturing & FMCG Business Location: Tipperary South Reports to: Managing Director Headcount Responsibility: 90 employees Company Turnover: €40m This is a key leadership role within a growing, multi-sector organisation operating across agriculture, manufacturing, and FMCG.
The HR Manager will take full ownership of the HR function, ensuring the business has the people, policies, and culture needed to support continued growth.
The role also incorporates responsibility for Health & Safety, making it ideal for a HR professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with senior leadership.
Key responsibilities Human Resources Management Lead and manage the full HR function across all business units.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with Irish employment legislation.
Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, disciplinary matters, and best practice.
Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational development.
Manage payroll inputs, HR reporting, and HR systems.
Drive employee engagement initiatives and support a positive workplace culture.
Health & Safety Oversee day-to-day Health & Safety compliance across agri, manufacturing, and FMCG operations.
Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Maintain safety documentation, training records, and incident reporting.
Work with managers to promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
Liaise with external bodies and ensure compliance with relevant H&S legislation.
A formal H&S qualification is beneficial but not essential.
Leadership & collaboration Work closely with the Managing Director as a trusted advisor on people and culture.
Partner with department heads to support operational and strategic goals.
Act as a key member of the management team, contributing to business planning and growth initiatives.
Provide flexible, pragmatic HR support tailored to the needs of a dynamic organisation.
Requirements HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent).
Minimum 4 years HR experience, ideally in a multi-site or multi-sector environment.
Strong knowledge of current and upcoming Irish employment legislation.
Previous experience working in Ireland is essential.
Experience in agri, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors is an advantage.
H&S qualification desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Confident working independently and partnering closely with senior leadership.
