Community Families Co Ordinator

To coordinate the Community Families Programme in Grangegorman.

Reporting to: Grangegorman Senior Specialist & Assistant Director of the Early Learning Initiative

Key Responsibilities:

The Community Families Coordinator plays a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering the Community Families Programme in Grangegorman. Central to this role is building strong relationships, promoting community engagement and ensuring the programme meets the diverse needs of families.

Programme Development and Delivery:

13. To recruit, hire, train and induct new Home Visiting Practitioners
14. Supervising and supporting Home Visiting Practitioners
15. Mentoring and coaching new and existing Home Visiting Practitioners.
16. To plan and deliver ongoing Home Visitor training.
17. Undertake home visits for own programme families (caseload of 1-2 families).
18. To order stock and organise deliveries of books and toys.
19. To recruit, interview and select families to participate in the programme.

Administration and Reporting:

20. Prepare and maintain records, reports and/or test data on the programme and participating children.
21. Participate in research activities.
22. To assist with the management of the Community Families budget and accounts.

Community Engagement, Partnerships and Networking:

23. Participate in local networks, interagency meetings and community events and liaise with a range of stakeholders including PHN, Tusla, Maternity Hospitals, PCHP, CES, Pobal and other statutory and voluntary bodies around the development of the Programme and opportunities for shared learning and collaboration.
24. Use an interagency approach to address challenges faced by families, attend and lead Meitheals for programme families in addition to attending case conferences where required
25. Organise and implement events for the programme families in conjunction with other Home Visiting and Parent Support team members.
26. To organise, plan and post on ELI's social media platforms.
27. Any other duties as assigned by the Grangegorman Senior Specialist, ELI Director or Assistant Director.

Skills and Experience required:

Essential:

28. Relevant 3rd level qualification e.g. Early Years Education, Education, Social Care, Psychology etc.
29. Minimum of 2 years' experience of working with children, young people, families and statutory agencies.
30. Experience supervising staff, facilitating meetings and delivering training.
31. Excellent communication skills including active listening, modelling and non-verbal cues.
32. Reflective practitioner.
33. Ability to work with marginalised families and have an understanding of the issues of marginalisation
34. Excellent administrative and organisational skills
35. Excellent IT skills in Ms Excel, Ms Word, CRM systems and other relevant research packages etc.
36. Professional interest in early years education and family-based learning.
37. Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of college personnel, statutory, community and corporate stakeholders and other outside individuals/organisations
38. Flexible approach to work as evening and weekend work may be required
39. Ability to operate as a team player in a cross disciplinary, integrated team, sharing roles and responsibilities
40. An energetic, confident and pro-active individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
41. Good time management skills with the ability to produce results to deadlines.

Contract: Part-time (17.5 hours per week) 12 month fixed term contract, permanent (subject to funding)

*Hours may increase to 35 per week in the future subject to funding*

Salary: Administrator Salary band: (€31,059 - €44,354) pro rata, depending on experience

Annual Leave: 24 Days per annum pro rata
