**Job Title:** ER Specialist
Role Overview
This role focuses on providing professional HR support and guidance to a company with teams across Ireland. It involves giving advice and support on day-to-day HR matters, especially in Employee Relations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide HR support to the Director of HR and Communications in delivering HR services across the business.
* Collaborate closely with operational managers to advise and assist on employee matters and day-to-day HR queries.
* Ensure full compliance with HR policies and procedures, including accurate maintenance of employee records and documentation.
* Manage and support all aspects of employee relations in accordance with company policies, employment legislation, and best practice.
* Lead on case management involving disciplinaries, grievances, performance issues, absence management, and complaints relating to bullying and harassment.
* Conduct thorough and confidential investigations into complex HR issues, applying critical thinking to reach fair and evidence-based conclusions.
* Provide coaching and guidance to line managers, helping them to manage teams effectively and confidently handle HR matters.
* Support the management of attendance and absence procedures across the business.
* Assist in internal and external audit preparation and execution where required.
Requirements
* Third-level qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
* CIPD qualification or working towards it (desirable).
* 3+ years experience in a similar HR role with a strong focus on employee relations.
* Solid knowledge of Irish employment law, conflict resolution, and WRC processes.
* Proven experience managing ER cases and advising at all levels of the organisation.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Able to handle confidential information with discretion and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
* Full driving license for occasional travel.
