Assistant Project Manager – Main Contractor (Residential, Commercial & Heritage Projects)
About the Role
We’re supporting a leading Irish main contractor delivering high‑quality residential, commercial, and heritage projects across Dublin and the wider region. Due to ongoing project activity, we’re looking to speak with candidates interested in an Assistant Project Manager position with strong coordination responsibilities.
This role is ideal for someone coming from a background in planning, design coordination, technical submittals, or site engineering who wants to move into a broader project delivery role.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Project Manager with program tracking, progress reporting, and coordination of project activities
Managing technical documentation, including RFIs, submittals, design queries, and compliance records
Liaising with design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure information flow and timely delivery
Assisting with quality control, inspections, and ensuring work aligns with project specifications
Contributing to project planning, sequencing, and monitoring of key milestones
Supporting health & safety, site logistics, and general project administration
Helping maintain project records, trackers, and communication logs
Ideal Background
We’re open to candidates coming from one of the following areas:
Design Coordinator / Technical Submittals
Construction Planner / Project Scheduler
Site Engineer with strong coordination and documentation experience
Junior APM or Project Coordinator
Experience with BIM, Revit, Navisworks, Procore, or similar platforms is an advantage.
