Monday to Friday with no weekend work - looking to support our diabetic eye screening teams in and around Dublin County.To assess patients using indirect ophthalmoscopy techniques and grade according to the grading protocol.To contribute to the patient’s pathway through the screening/grading process, ensuring patients are triaged in accordance with company policy and that patient information is downloaded daily.To operate in accordance with all current and future company policies and procedures.To undertake administrative tasks as required, while being flexible to the changing needs of the local programme and the company.All staff are expected to pursue personal development through attending accredited courses, meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, and online sessions.To prioritize patient care, providing the best possible service within the diabetic eye screening programme.To support the local programme and wider company in administration, audits, quality control, and service improvement to exceed national standards and performance indicators.Monday to Friday (no evenings or weekends).The role covers Co. Dublin and surrounding counties, including mobile clinics.QualificationsCORU Registered Optometrist.Computer literate – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Experience with computer applications and accurate data input.Ability to use initiative, prioritize tasks, and solve problems independently, sometimes under pressure.Effective communication skills, both written and oral, with multidisciplinary teams and diabetic patients, in a calm, sensitive, and reassuring manner.Experience working with the public.Ability to comply with current and future policies/protocols, including patient confidentiality and infection control, following training.A full, clean driving license and preferably personal transport to travel within the programme area.Proficiency in Irish and/or other languages is desirable.This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
