About the Role:
The StepWise software is a cloud-based platform built using .NET, SQL Server, Kafka, MongoDB and ElasticSearch. It is currently deployed to Azure and on premises.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and other stakeholders.
* Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries.
* Work closely with the development team, product owners and other stakeholders.
* Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases through Sprints.
* Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required.
Requirements:
* Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.
* Strong Software Engineering experience using the full .NET Stack and .NET Core or later in particular.
* Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
* Strong desire to learn about new trends and technologies.
* Passionate about good design, and software development in general.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Good knowledge of formal architectures, design patterns and best practices, including the design, development and deployment of Microservice architectures and service-oriented architectures in general.
* Experience working in Azure cloud platforms (Azure, Azure API Gateway, Azure Kubernetes Services).
* Experience in automating build processes, application deployments and continuous integration systems, with tools such as: Jenkins, GitHub.
* Containerization, SonarQube.
* Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
* Working knowledge of remote/web-based APIs (especially REST).
* Experience delivering software using an Agile/Scrum methodology.
* Experience with SQL, relational and Document Databases. Ideally with SQL Server and MongoDB.
* Experience with using IIS.
* Some experience with JavaScript and ASP.NET or other front-end frameworks.
