Preparation and cooking of a range of meals for up to 40 people from our 3-week menu cycle. The menu cycle has 2 dinner options every day and 4 tea time options.
Daily kitchen cleaning duties to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen.
Ordering of all supplies required for meals.
This role is supported by a catering assistant who prepares and serves breakfast and assists the cook at lunch time and tea time when plating meals.
The right candidate will have:
Excellent communication skills, be a quick learner, very flexible and adaptable. He / she will also be self-motivated and very organised in their approach to tasks, thereby improving the already efficient operation of the kitchen to ensure meals are planned and delivered on time daily for our residents in line with HACCP principles.
