We are seeking an experienced, driven, and commercially minded individual to join our team as an Indirect Procurement Manager. This is a key role in optimising value, supplier performance, and compliance across all indirect procurement categories. You will deliver sustainable cost savings, efficiency improvements, and governance, working collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers to meet company and Group Procurement objectives.
Indirect Procurement Manager – Key Responsibilities
Strategic Indirect Procurement & Cost Optimisation
* Develop and implement robust category strategies for all indirect spend areas, ensuring alignment with business and Group Procurement goals.
* Lead sourcing projects, tenders, contract negotiations, and benchmarking exercises to secure best-in-class value and supply resilience.
* Utilise data-driven decision-making to achieve measurable cost savings, service improvements, and supplier efficiencies.
Supplier Relationship Management & Procurement Governance
* Build and manage strong supplier partnerships to ensure outstanding quality, service, value, and innovation.
* Oversee supplier evaluation, onboarding, and approval processes, ensuring compliance with company governance and sustainability standards.
* Manage supplier contracts, renewals, and contractual compliance in line with internal policies and environmental targets.
Operational Excellence in Indirect Procurement
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis for all relevant indirect procurement categories.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date procurement data in ERP and BI systems (NAV, QlikSense, Excel).
* Drive continuous improvements to cost control, process efficiency, and procurement risk mitigation.
* Contribute to environmental reporting and deliver sustainability initiatives across supplier networks.
Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Collaborate closely with colleagues in Group Procurement, Finance, Engineering, QA, and Operations to optimise company-wide indirect spend.
* Input into cross-functional projects supporting sustainability, digitalisation, and governance improvements.
* Champion a proactive, collaborative, and improvement-driven culture within the procurement function and wider business.
Indirect Procurement Manager – Essential Skills and Competencies
* Effective negotiation and influencing skills with a track record in successful contract management.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills; confident with data interpretation and decision-making.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (essential).
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain high performance under pressure.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a commitment to compliance and process improvement.
* Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.
Indirect Procurement Manager – Qualifications & Experience
* At least 3 years' procurement experience, ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing, or logistics sectors.
* Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant discipline (CIPS qualification desirable).
* Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and enhancing supplier performance.
* Experience using ERP systems (NAV, SAP, or similar) preferred.
