Overview
Customer Delivery Driver – Abbeyfeale (30-35h). Tesco is hiring Customer Delivery Drivers to join our team. Our core purpose is to serve Irish shoppers a little better every day. As a Customer Delivery Driver, you are often the first face customers see and you will be hands-on, with a variety of tasks throughout the day.
Most of the day you’ll feel like your own boss, delivering to customers, with a team of managers and colleagues back at base to support you when needed. Shift Pattern: Various shifts available.
Responsibilities
* Provide an excellent home shopping experience by putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
* Load the van where required and check the van for roadworthiness.
* Understand the schedule and route that has been calculated for you.
* Present yourself in uniform and be ready to help customers.
* Drive safely, responsibly and within the law.
* Be courteous to all road users and greet customers by name.
* Take care of customers’ deliveries as if they were your own.
Requirements
* Full IRISH or EU driving licence (manual or automatic) for at least 2 years with no more than 3 penalty points.
* Safe and courteous driving skills and a willingness to help others.
* Personable with good humor and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to take initiative, stay calm under pressure, and use common sense.
* A focus on making a difference for customers and colleagues.
As part of the recruitment process, Garda Vetting is required and you may need to provide proof of current penalty points on your licence at Assessment Stage. This information can be requested from the National Driver Licence Services (NDLS).
Note: If you have been disqualified from driving within the last 10 years, we will not be able to accept your application.
