Key Job Responsibilities
Own the project management, delivery and operationalisation of energy projects to enable and optimise AWS access to grid connection capacity across the EMEA region.
Lead project management and delivery of generation and energy storage projects, from commercial agreement execution through operational launch.
Oversee financial costs, budget control, and contractor performance to meet timelines and cost targets.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including partner teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with planning requirements and health and safety standards.
Identify and act on opportunities to accelerate project timelines, mitigating risks and preventing delays that could impact data center scaling.
Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration, engaging support from partner teams and external resources to maintain delivery schedules and resolve complex challenges.
Manage budget and financial management, tracking costs, managing variations, processing contractor claims, and maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications
Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time.
Experience with high‑level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
Proactive and independent work style, meeting deadlines and delivering on projects and tasks.
Relevant engineering degree with 10+ years of experience in utility / energy generation / grid infrastructure and a background in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering for large industrial plant, and a proven track record of delivering grid infrastructure, renewable power generation and energy storage projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries.
Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large‑scale technology projects for global customers.
Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies.
Master's degree or above in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent, or experience working on multi‑team, cross‑disciplinary projects.
Location: Dublin, London, or Madrid. Regular travel (10–20%) throughout EMEA is required.
