Urgent Search: Ad Astra Fellow
This is a highly sought-after role for an Assistant Professor in Medical Physics who will contribute to the translation of fundamental physics understanding and emerging state-of-the-art technologies into health and clinical applications.
The appointee will be expected to undertake a research programme of international repute in the implementation of advanced analysis techniques in diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, and radiation oncology physics. They will actively seek funding at national and international levels, show leadership in building their research group, publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, supervise research students in our MSc and PhD programmes, and establish collaborations with research groups in the School of Physics and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver elements of the School's undergraduate programmes and the MSc/PhD in Medical Physics, including classroom and laboratory teaching, project and group-work supervision
- Lead a research team focused on implementing advanced analysis techniques in medical physics
Requirements:
- Recognised international research profile as an emerging leader in the application of AI and other advanced analysis techniques in Medical Physics
