Clare Distribution Services was established in 1997 and specialise in the distribution of temperature-controlled products delivering nationwide. We are currently recruiting for a number of Van Delivery Drivers for an exciting venture in partnership with a leading Irish blue-chip Company.The chosen candidates will get to work with an award-winning Transport Company with an excellent reputation in the industry. CDS is an FTA, BRC Gold Standard and ISO accredited Company. In addition, we hold awards such as Employer of the Year and Transport Company of the Year in the Irish Logistics and Transport Awards.We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, customer focused and hardworking van drivers to join our team based in Dundalk.*Working Days and Hours:*· Wednesday – Sunday initially however, this role will eventually operate any three to four days across seven· 9.30am – 7.30pm· Rotational Working Week – 30 hours week 1, 40 hours week 2*The Opportunity*The teams will operate extended hours across 7 days a week and drivers will be required to operate a flexible working pattern· Loading, transporting and making deliveries to homes and customers in a safe and timely manner· Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles· Providing first class customer service, answering questions and handling customer complaints· Adhering to assigned routes and following timed schedules· Abiding by Rules of the Road and maintaining a safe driving record· Following all Health and Safety practices as advised by CDS· Completing vehicle walk around checks and reporting defects or damage daily· Be an ambassador for Clare Distribution Services and its partners· Maintain a professional attitude and appearance*What We Need*· Full clean B Licence· Minimum 2 years' experience as a multi drop delivery driver· Minimum 2 years customer service experience· Strong time management· Excellent customer service skills· Attention to detail· Reliable and trustworthy*What We Offer*· Enjoy driving new vehicles that are well maintained· Additional annual leave linked to service· Career development and training opportunitiesCDS is an equal opportunities employerINDMPJob Type: Full-timePay: €17.00 per hourExpected hours: 30 – 40 per weekBenefits:* On-site parking* Sick payApplication question(s):* Please confirm that you are available to work Wednesday - Sunday, 9.30am - 7.30pm approx moving to any three to four days over sevenExperience:* Professional Van Driving: 2 years (preferred)* Customer Service: 2 years (preferred)Licence/Certification:* B Driving licence (preferred)Work Location: In person
