Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Drogheda. The successful candidate will work in a production facility, utilizing the most advanced technology to create exceptional products.
This role will play a key part in maintaining plant reliability, managing contractors, and guiding engineers and technicians across a busy maintenance environment. The organization has several upcoming projects, offering clear scope for further progression.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within Ireland. A strong background in heavy industry, utilities, cement, quarry, mining, or large-scale manufacturing is essential. Proven experience leading people, contractors, or engineering teams is also required.
Responsibilities:
• Lead maintenance activity across a defined plant area
• Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance plans
• Direct contractors and guide junior engineers and technicians
• Plan shutdowns and major overhauls
• Troubleshoot failures and improve equipment reliability
• Support and deliver large-scale plant improvement projects
• Maintain and improve safety and environmental standards
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Min 5 years experience in mechanical engineering within Ireland
• Strong background in heavy industry, utilities, cement, quarry, mining, or large-scale manufacturing
• Proven experience leading people, contractors, or engineering teams
• Solid understanding of reactive and preventative maintenance
• Ability to plan downtimes, manage resources, and deliver projects
• Confident communicator who can influence and guide others

• Residing within a commutable distance of the site
