Job Title: Trade Finance Analyst
Honeywell is spinning off its Advanced Materials business into an independent, publicly traded company called Solstice Advanced Materials, focusing on sustainability-oriented specialty chemicals and materials. The new entity is expected to have around $3.8 billion in revenue with an EBITDA margin exceeding 25% in FY24. This spin-off aims to enhance strategic focus on innovation and develop sustainable solutions using next-generation chemistry to create value for shareholders.
We are seeking a Trade Finance Analyst to join Solstice Advanced Materials. This role involves managing trade finance operations and supporting business activities in the EMEA region. The analyst will analyze trade finance transactions, negotiate bank guarantees and standby letters of credit, ensure regulatory compliance, and facilitate global trade operations. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of banking practices such as UCP 600, URDG, and ISP98.
The analyst will report directly to the Treasury Manager and will be based in Dublin, Ireland, working on a hybrid schedule. The role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of trade finance transactions, minimizing financial risks, and supporting smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze trade finance transactions and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
2. Understand banking practices related to trade finance.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate trade operations and resolve issues, negotiating with customers and internal teams.
4. Manage trade finance documentation, including letters of credit, guarantees, and other instruments.
5. Conduct financial assessments and risk evaluations for trade finance transactions; provide guidance to business units.
6. Maintain relationships with banking partners and monitor trade finance lines.
7. Work with the treasury team to process payments and monitor cash flow.
8. Stay informed about industry trends and regulations in trade finance.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience in trade finance or related fields.
* Knowledge of trade finance products and instruments.
* Proficiency in financial risk assessment.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related fields.
* Experience with international trade and EMEA trade regulations.
* Familiarity with trade finance systems and software.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
