Job Title: Broker Development Underwriter Location: Dublin City Working Model: Hybrid - 2 days in office post-initial period Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Broker Development Underwriter on behalf of a high-growth MGA headquartered in Dublin City.
Backed by A-rated capacity and well-established broker partnerships, the business is scaling rapidly across commercial lines and is now looking to strengthen its team with a commercially minded underwriter.
This is a client-facing underwriting role focused on Property and Liability business.
You will combine technical underwriting with direct broker engagement, helping to grow and manage a profitable book while acting as a key ambassador for the business in the Irish market.
Your Role: Underwrite new and renewal business across Property and Liability lines within delegated authority.
Develop and maintain strong broker relationships across Ireland, acting as a primary point of contact.
Drive new business opportunities and support growth through proactive broker engagement and market visibility.
Deliver excellent service standards in partnership with operations, underwriting, and leadership teams.
Monitor market trends, broker performance, and competitor activity to identify areas for product or service improvement.
Represent the MGA at broker meetings, industry events and local market engagements.
Contribute ideas and insights to support product development and distribution strategy as the business expands.
Your Skills: Experience underwriting Property and/or Liability risks within a broker-led environment.
Strong communication and relationship management skills, you enjoy engaging with clients and developing accounts.
Commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical quality with broker expectations.
Organised and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple relationships and deadlines.
Collaborative and adaptable, with a desire to be part of a growing, entrepreneurial team.
