Procurement Specialist
We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to oversee purchasing and stock management at a retail store.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the management team to maintain accurate supplier price files.
* Manage comprehensive and up-to-date supplier information, ensuring all details are current.
* Process stock orders from the sales team efficiently and in a timely manner.
* Monitor and manage stock levels based on demand, usage, and agreed minimum stock levels.
* Work closely with management to address supplier queries and resolve any outstanding returns.
* Proactively source new products to expand our product range.
* Coordinate with suppliers to provide regular promotions for the business.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in purchasing is highly advantageous.
* Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
* Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
* Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure deals on optimal terms.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
