The role of the Adult Safeguarding Social Worker is to protect and advocate for at-risk adults, ensuring their safety and well-being. This position plays a crucial part in screening and assessing safeguarding concerns related to elder abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and coercive control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Screening and assessing safeguarding concerns.
* Conducting risk assessments, triaging cases, and making recommendations for further intervention.
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, community partners, and legal services.
* Engaging with families, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes.
* Providing guidance and supporting decision-making based on national safeguarding policies and frameworks.
* Maintaining clear, professional, and accurate documentation and case notes.
Essential Criteria:
* CORU registered Social Worker (essential).
* Proven experience in adult safeguarding, social work leadership, or related fields (Essential)
* Strong knowledge of HSE Safeguarding Policy, risk assessment, and intervention strategies.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and advocacy skills.
* Ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
* Full clean driving licence and access to transport is an advantage.
* Valid Garda and overseas clearances (if applicable).
