Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate or Intermediate level Quantity Surveyor to gain experience across all aspects of the business. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert commercial support to Developers, Main Contractors, and Subcontractors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting take-offs from drawings, preparing tender enquiries, managing subcontractor appointments, and overseeing daily subcontractor management.
You will also visit project sites to compile monthly payment applications, perform remeasures as works progress, and collaborate with site teams to ensure timely ordering of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct take-offs from drawings using specialist software.
* Prepare and issue tender enquiries, managing the appointment of subcontractors.
* Oversee daily subcontractor management, including variations, payment applications, and issuing payment notices.
* Visit project sites to compile monthly payment applications for submission to the Client's QS.
* Perform remeasures as works progress in preparation for final account submission.
* Collaborate with site teams to ensure timely ordering of materials, aligned with procurement schedules.
* Manage commercial and contractual relationships with Clients, Consultants, and Subcontractors.
* Attend site progress and technical meetings, coordinating with the wider design team to ensure prompt completion of agreed actions.
Requirements:
* A Degree in Quantity Surveying, including a strong placement year.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A full, valid driving licence and access to your own car.
* 1-3 years of post-graduate experience in quantity surveying.
