12-month contract role - there is flexibility to work 4 days per week or full-time The employer is a multinational pharmaceutical company The position of Assistant Accountant will be primarily involved in a variety of month-end accounting transactions, bank transactions and bank reconciliations as well as looking after the area of credit control and customer rebates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily Bank account transactions and monitoring Bank reconciliations Month-end accounting journals Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations such as Accruals, Prepayments etc.
Customer Discount and Rebate calculations and payment Credit Control Provide backup to AR Accounts Assistant during holidays and times of work overflow Some external reporting on a weekly / monthly / quarterly basis Provide assistance across the Finance Department as required Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in an industry-based finance function; ideally in a sales, distribution or manufacturing environment Education: Part-Qualified Accountant or Accounting Technician Skills: Accounts Receivable Month-end Financial Accounting
