We are seeking an experienced e-Plan Designer for our clients in Charleville, County Cork.
Working on behalf of Irish water, you will report directly to the Design Manager and Electrical Leads, and will collaborate across engineering, fabrication, and project delivery teams to support the design, coordination, and documentation of electrical and mechanical control systems within water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
This is a permanent position, based in County Cork.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed CAD/BIM drawings for MCC panels, control panels, kiosks, instrumentation layouts, and cable routing.
Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and fabrication details for manufacture and installation.
Create coordinated 2D/3D models to support clash detection and multidisciplinary integration.
Prepare digital submission packages for water authorities and planning portals (e.g., Uisce Éireann).
Ensure compliance with utility standards, naming conventions, GIS requirements, and industry regulations.
Track drawing revisions, manage resubmissions, and respond to authority queries.
Support construction and commissioning teams with accurate, build-ready documentation.
Conduct QA checks to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Maintain structured digital drawing libraries with full version control.
Compile as-built documentation for client handover.
Skills & Experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent CAD/BIM platforms.
Experience producing electrical/control system drawings in utilities or construction environments.
Understanding of MCC, PLC, ICA, and instrumentation panel design.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of water industry standards and e-Planning systems (desirable).
