Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Buyer, based in the Dublin area. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality Japanese food products, building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, and monitoring inventory levels to meet customer demands. Additional duties can include negotiating contracts and prices with suppliers, evaluating market trends, and ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to company standards. Collaboration with internal teams such as sales will also be required to optimize supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
* Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities
* Analytical skills to evaluate market trends and supplier performance
* Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams
* Familiarity with Japanese food products and international sourcing is highly desirable
* Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
* Fluency in Chinese or Japanese is a plus but not required
