The Commercial Manager will oversee commercial aspects of Projects to ensure successful delivery within budget and value for money. Responsibilities include client support, managing the Systra Ireland Business plan, contracts, finances, risk management, and dispute resolution.
Main Duties
* Managing contractors, consultants, and advisors on large, complex construction projects, including NEC contracts.
* Handling bespoke NEC terms and conditions.
* Ensuring contract compliance by all parties.
* Preparing estimates and cost plans for high-value public sector approvals.
* Providing technical cost advice for secure and safety-critical services and works.
* Supporting option appraisals and recommendations with cost data.
* Including costs in risk and opportunity registers.
* Applying costs to a work and cost-loaded programme.
* Producing periodic commercial and financial contract reports, including cash flow and cost analysis.
* Assisting in budget preparation and reforecasting.
* Managing high-performing teams, focusing on continuous improvement.
* Improving cost management procedures and templates.
* Interfacing with client management and audit teams.
Knowledge / Experience
* Extensive commercial management experience in high-value infrastructure projects.
* Proven leadership in complex construction projects.
* Ability to manage multiple technical teams and requirements.
* Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong stakeholder negotiation and management skills.
* Leadership skills with an influence to drive decisions.
* Holistic view and effective prioritisation.
* Attention to detail and ability to manage client expectations.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging environments.
