Job Summary:The Forklift Driver in Country Crest will be responsible for operating forklift machinery to move, stack, and store onion products and other materials in a busy warehouse environment. The role ensures that all goods are handled safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines and warehouse protocols.Key Responsibilities:Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach, or other types) to transport onions and other products within the warehouse.Loading/Unloading: Load and unload delivery trucks with onions and other products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.Stock Organisation: Organise, stack, and store products in designated storage areas, ensuring goods are stored properly for easy retrieval.Inventory Control: Assist in stocktaking and ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.Safety Compliance: Follow all warehouse safety procedures, wear protective gear, and ensure the forklift is regularly inspected and maintained.Warehouse Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.Order Picking: Assist with picking orders based on customer requirements and prepare them for shipping.Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff, including loaders, supervisors, and managers, to ensure smooth operations.Qualifications:Forklift License: Valid forklift certification (e.g., Counterbalance or Reach Truck license).Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is essentialAttention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and ensure accurate storage and handling of products.Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
