Offer description

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

Please note, in order to meet our recruitment aims preference will be given to recruitment of a Physiotherapist however applications are welcomed from both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy candidates.

We have an exciting new opportunity to recruit a dynamic Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Advanced Practitioner to continue to embed our AHP front door service in Accident and Emergency and our admission ward (GA) within Raigmore Hospital.

These posts are instrumental in continuing the development and growth of the AHP front door service initiated several months ago. Applications are invited from those with enthusiasm to work in a fast paced and changing health and social care system.

This new service will deliver early frailty assessment with a focus on admission avoidance where appropriate, as well as setting goals and functional criteria for discharge as early in the patient journey as possible.

The successful candidates will demonstrate an in depth understanding of community services, will work in partnership with the MDT throughout Raigmore, as well as the community integrated teams, to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.

You should be forward thinking and proactive with excellent organisational and clinical skills. You will possess good communication skills and have the ability to make autonomous decisions under pressure. The ability to guide data collection and evaluate the efficiency of the service will be a key skill.

This service will run, 12 hour day shifts over 7 days however applications for part time, job share and flexible working patterns are welcomed.

Please get in touch to discuss this exciting opportunity.
