Cheque Allocation & Claims Administrator

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Process, allocate and reconciliation of all six Insurance cheques for the month to be completed for month end
2. Reconcile under pays, over pays and part pay accounts
3. Processing, collating and submission of an average of 800 Sports Medicine claim forms per month, ensuring all sections are filled out adequately and signed by the patient
4. Matching and cross checking that all details on the hospital invoice and professional invoices match
5. Matching and cross checking that all medical details on side 1 and side 2 of the claim form match
6. Timely submission of bi-monthly and monthly completed claims
7. Liaising with various departments to solve queries
8. Communicating with patients to verify relevant information to solve queries and get missing information for submissions
9. Reviewing claim submissions and verifying the information
10. Follow up on outstanding claim forms – missing and unsigned claim forms
11. Ensuring claims are billed correctly and rebilling when necessary
12. Liaising with relevant departments/billings companies regarding outstanding paperwork
13. Provide cover on the credit control team as requested
Qualifications & Experience:
1. At least 3 years Finance experience essential. High volume cheque allocation an advantage.
2. Computer literate and proficient in MS Office and Excel
3. Working knowledge of a Finance system
4. High attention to detail is essential
5. Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
6. Ability to work under pressure to strict submission deadlines
7. Ability to work on own or as part of a team
