Overview
Tax Manager / Senior Manager role to support direct tax compliance and provisioning for up to 25 entities in the EMEA region. 12 Month Contract. Cork/Dublin (hybrid).
Responsibilities
* Manage quarterly and yearly current and deferred tax provisions for group reporting under US GAAP and annual statutory disclosures under IFRS for multiple group companies. This includes the preparation and review of workings, coordinating with the EMEA and Global Tax and Finance teams, and liaising with financial auditors and local advisors as required.
* Partner with the wider Finance teams on the statutory account preparation process.
* Work with and manage external service providers to meet corporate tax and withholding tax obligations across jurisdictions, with support from the Senior Tax Analyst.
* Manage the R&D tax credit process, including calculations and collaboration with internal teams and external advisors.
* Collaborate with the Treasury team to ensure funding and hedging for upcoming tax payments and support investment strategy discussions.
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external tax advisors, and local tax authorities.
* Provide commercially focused guidance on tax matters in collaboration with Legal and Finance.
* Assist the EMEA and Global Tax Teams with tax projects such as system implementation/automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support the Tax Director and Global Tax team on tax planning strategies and opportunities.
* Stay up to date with legislative developments and assess implications for the organization.
* Support and manage tax audits/enquiries as they arise.
* Other duties in the tax department, including process documentation, compliance and risk tracking, and supplier engagement.

Education
* Irish Tax Institute qualified / Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
* Undergraduate Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
Experience
* Minimum 6 years Corporate Tax experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power BI).
* ERP experience, ideally Oracle/SAP.
* Experience with data analytics tools or tax software is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and initiative with the ability to meet strict timelines.
* Able to work well in a team, influence cross-functional groups, and develop effective working relationships.
* Experience in managing and mentoring.
* Ability to adapt to change and be flexible to evolving business needs.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, strategic thinker with solid business understanding.
* Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
