Job Description: Software Design Engineer with knowledge of power electronics.
Minimum Experience: 3 Years
Qualifications: Third Level Degree
Roles & Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team that designs & develops software packages for the Intepro Power Electronics Test Stations.
Develop Windows-based applications including core design, real-time hardware control, test system instrument control, and MFC application development.
Design and develop software from concept to release, ensuring performance, cost, and reliability targets are met, and regulatory standards are complied with.
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineering teams to facilitate the design process.
Interface directly with customers to determine requirements and develop solutions.
Participate in internal design reviews, perform design verification testing, write technical reports, and generate engineering change notices.
Requirements:
Proficient in Windows-based C/C++ development using Visual Studio.
Knowledge of Visual Basic.
Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
3+ years relevant experience in software design.
Knowledge of basic electronics including test and measurement instrument control.
Self-motivated, proactive, and driven.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to write and analyze design documentation and work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Experience:
Experience controlling test and measurement instrumentation (DMMs, oscilloscopes, sources, function generators) via software.
Experience with LabView / LabWindows.
Firmware development at microprocessor level.
Project management skills.
Database design and implementation.
Python experience.
