Shift Manager
The role of the Shift Manager is to provide leadership, direction, and coordination to production employees. This position focuses on meeting key business objectives, including product quality, order fulfillment, OEE, labor efficiency, health and safety, and operational excellence.
* Lead a shift team to achieve production targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Ensure high standards in product quality, integrity, hygiene, and compliance with good manufacturing practices and good housekeeping practices.
* Monitor and control production costs while driving efficiency.
* Enforce and uphold safe working practices for team members, contractors, and visitors.
* Ensure all team members are trained and operate safely, effectively, and with a focus on quality.
* Promote strong working relationships and maintain effective communication across all levels.
* Oversee the maintenance of work areas and equipment for optimal performance.
* Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, product quality, and system/process efficiencies.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Shift Manager will support the Production Manager in operations and serve as their deputy in their absence. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role within the food manufacturing industry. A third-level qualification in a relevant field is preferred. Experience with SAP, MES, or SCADA systems is highly advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
