Dalata successfully operates Ireland’s two largest hotel brands and has a strong presence in the UK, with a growing footprint across Europe. We are currently recruiting for a Group Accountant to join our Central Office team at an exciting time of growth and development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an influential role in an ambitious and expanding organisation.
The Role Will Involve Participation In
* Production of excellent quality consolidated accounts for the Group.
* Production of statutory accounts for individual entities.
* Preparation of the monthly management accounts.
* Production of Central Office companies’ accounts to trial balance, including preparation of budget and monthly reforecasting.
* Research and analysis of technical standards/guidance as queries/issues arise, particularly with new standards including IFRS and the strategies for growth.
* Technical support for hotel accountants and other teams when required.
* Liaising with other team members in Company Secretarial, Development, Internal Audit, Tax and Treasury to deliver cross-functional projects as appropriate.
* Contributing positively to the existing team culture and continued development of team dynamics.
Key Requirements
* Trained and exam qualified with excellent academics and exposure to listed entities or large corporates.
* Excellent accounting and/or auditing skills.
* Engaging, enthusiastic and confident with a focus on quality, accuracy and continuous improvement.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work.
* Strong team player who can support, challenge and influence colleagues at all levels.
* A desire to develop and help others grow.
* Strong technical knowledge in IFRS with the ability to interpret the implications of standards for practical situations.
