What They Are Looking For
Our client is seeking a
Senior Estimator
to join their Dublin-based pre-construction team. This is a pivotal role reporting directly to the
Estimating Director
, working closely with senior commercial and operational leadership across the business.
The role has been created to support continued growth and an expanding portfolio of major project opportunities. You will take ownership of high-value tenders, lead pricing strategy from concept through to submission, and play a key role in shaping bid strategy, risk positioning, and value engineering.
This position will suit an experienced estimator who is commercially astute, confident working with senior stakeholders, and comfortable balancing detailed hands-on estimating with strategic input at a leadership level.

Responsibilities
* Lead the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects up to €200M
* Manage the full tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission
* Develop pricing strategies aligned with project risk, market conditions, and business objectives
* Coordinate subcontractor enquiries, analysis, and selection
* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities within bids
* Produce detailed cost plans, bills, and tender documentation
* Contribute to value engineering and alternative design solutions
* Liaise closely with design teams, clients, and internal stakeholders
* Support junior estimators through mentoring and technical guidance
* Participate in post-tender reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Criteria for the Role
* 8+ years' experience in estimating within a main contracting environment
* Proven track record delivering successful tenders on large-scale commercial projects
* Strong understanding of Irish construction market conditions
* Excellent commercial and analytical skills
* Ability to lead complex bids with minimal supervision
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
* Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
